Beautiful and warm knitted scarf

Geanna knitted scarf is made in Italy in size 21x160cm. Plush and wonderfully soft material combining 15% alpaca, 15% wool, 60% acrylic and 10% viscose. The scarf is the same material as our Gia beanie. In combination, these products complete your autumn and winter outfit.

At Lasessor, we have specialized in accessories since the 1960s. Our products are among the most popular and well-liked accessories in Finland. We strive to produce our scarves responsibly and choose the factories that make them carefully. As materials, we mainly use sustainable and responsibly produced natural materials. There are various stages in the production of the products that require precise handwork, thanks to which each scarf gets a wonderfully individual and lively surface.

We take into account the aspects of responsibility and sustainable development, from the design process and the selection of production facilities to the small details of the products, such as packaging. In the future, we intend to further develop the role of responsibility in the company. We feel that companies play an important role in the realization of sustainable development and social responsibility on a practical level.

Our goal is to be a responsible commercial operator both for people and the environment. The starting point of the design work is to design products that are high-quality and well-loved, long-lasting products. We require our partners to fulfill Lasessor's own social responsibility requirement. We strive to ensure that all our production facilities have an authorized BSCI, SEDEX or similar certificate, so that we can be sure of safe production conditions, both in terms of employee rights and product safety. Currently, 90% of our factories are BSCI certified. We take into account the life cycle of the products, e.g. in the selection of materials, choosing natural fibers that can withstand time and use whenever possible and paying attention to e.g. color safety, product performance, materials and production processes.

Our design and production team closely follows the development of the industry and is constantly looking for more ecological production methods, e.g. digital printing of patterned products is on the rise in the production of collections. Digital printing consumes considerably less water, energy and time. The amount of waste water and waste material can be controlled much more easily than the traditional process, because only the necessary amount of printing ink is printed on the surface of the fabric and only the necessary amount is printed on the fabric itself. This minimizes the production of unnecessary volume.

Our own design and product development team works closely with our suppliers during the product development process. Before starting production, our team goes through the sample pieces of the products carefully; editing and commenting on possible errors and flaws, so that the end result is as durable and high-quality as possible. For our functional products, such as umbrellas and eco bags, we have made a quality inspection list in order to prevent production problems. Based on this quality check, the products are checked by an external inspector before the production batch moves to our warehouse. The quality level we demand is significantly higher than the general industry standard, which is why we are happy to grant, for example, a one-year warranty for our umbrellas.

Our design team constantly pays attention to the product life cycle. We want to design wonderful products that they claim their place in the user's active wardrobe for years. Thus, we think a lot about what makes a product timeless and beloved. High-quality patterns, colors and materials play a key role in our products.

In terms of materials, in addition to silk, wool and cotton, our collection includes, for example, linen products and cellulose-based modified fibers such as modal and viscose. In the future, we hope to be able to use new pulp-based fibers which are currently under development, with a significantly smaller carbon footprint than current fibers, in our products. We follow the development of new fiber qualities and recycled fibers and our goal is to have these materials in our collection in the future. Our umbrellas have already been manufactured e.g. from recycled plastic bottles and we are currently mapping out the possibility of using recycled materials, for example, in the production of our durable bags.

Thanks to our long history, we have solid experience as an employer in the industry. We employ 12 employees in our company, and indirectly through our products, the impact of our work can be seen in hundreds of stores around Finland, strengthening Finnish employment and the national economy. Lasessor wants to be a good and encouraging employer; We have skilled employees who are passionate about their field and who are also key in the development of our products. We have a long and reliable relationship with many of our partners, which we want to continuously develop.

All the functions of our company (design, production planning, warehouses, cash&carry store, showroom) are under the same roof in a new, environmentally friendly building (Fashion Center, Vantaa), where we have tried to minimize the impact on the environment, e.g. with a green roof, using geothermal energy and a modern rainwater absorption and waste collection system.

When you hold a Lasessor product in your hand, there is always a person behind it who wanted to design the best possible product for you.
